Embedding the Vidalytics Player Inside an iframe

Incorrect Usage

A common mistake is embedding the Vidalytics player inside an iframe instead of adding the embed code directly to the page.

In some cases, website builders such as Framer may automatically wrap embedded videos in iframes.

Why It's a Problem

An iframe creates a separate browsing context within a webpage, which can limit how the player interacts with the parent page and affect its functionality.

This can lead to several issues:

  • Fullscreen and redirect issues: Fullscreen functionality and features such as Countdown Timer / Redirect may not work as expected. For example, the player may expand only within the iframe instead of covering the entire screen.
  • Inaccurate analytics: Some tracking data, such as the referrer (the page the visitor came from), may be incorrect or unavailable.
  • Multiple Embed Code limitations: If each video is placed in a separate iframe, as may happen with page builders like Framer, the Multiple Embed Code cannot access the main player's assets because they run in isolated contexts.

Whenever possible, embed the Vidalytics player directly into your webpage without using an iframe.

If you're using a website builder that places each video in a separate iframe, use the Standard Embed Code for each video instead of the Multiple Embed Code.
